Who are we
The IT Jobs Genie is an offshoot of Jack's Guides which was founded in 2007 by me, Kevin Ramsey.
I am a veteran in the IT industry. I joined it in the late 1960s (I bet many of you didn't even know there WERE computers in the 1960s!)
For years I have been helping people to penetrate the mysteries of getting the right job in the IT sector. It's an industry cloaked in myths and legends, most of them wrong.
Both of my sons, as they grew up, wanted to join the IT world. Neither had done particularly well at high school, and neither had a college degree. So, I had to put on my thinking cap to devise a strategy to get them into the world of IT and the jobs they wanted.
Today they are both successful IT professionals in their chosen area of IT. One is a project manager and one a senior support specialist, both in that elusive high income bracket.
It seemed to me, that if I could help my friends and family to make this leap in career success and earnings, I could also help other people. The result is the IT Jobs Genie.
Not only that - I wanted to produce a road map to advance the careers of IT professionals and those who would like to be. The IT industry is a paradox - it is desperately short of good people and yet the whole industry is shrouded in mystery about how it really works and how people can get into it and progress.
